Student Librarians & ICT Mentors

LIBRARIANS: 

Librarians are trained to assist everyone in the library.

Their main purpose is to return and issue all books for students 

and staff. They are also responsible for putting all books away 

in their correct places and keep the library tidy. Librarians are 

also there to help locate a book or find a book on a certain topic.

If there is no Librarian in the Library during your allocated class time just

refer to the roster and call them to come or ask for a replacement 

librarian if they are unavailable to do their duty on that day.

ICT MENTORS: 

The purpose of the ICT mentors is to assist the Juniors in the ICT Lab.

 These students know the basic programs used on the computers.

 They are able to logon to the computers and help Juniors use Kidpix, 

Printshop2, Word, Keynote and google.

At the end of each session they will be there to help save the students 

work to the class server. ICT mentors are rostered on to be in the ICT lab

 during Junior class times, if Whaea Maja or the ICT mentors are not

 in the Lab please contact their class teacher and let them know to come

 do their duty or ask for a replacement mentor.

REPORTERS: 

Our School reporters are trained on how to interview

 visitors and guests to the school. They are able to plan and direct their 

own video interviews. If there is an upcoming event that you would like

 documented please let Whaea Maja know ASAP.

PHOTOGRAPHER:

Photographers are selected as part of the Photography

 Group. They are trained on how to use the school camera and will be 

available to take photographs for school events. 

If you would like to use these students for an upcoming 

event please contact Whaea Maja in the library as soon as 

possible as to arrange this with their class teachers.
